An Israeli boxer recently won a heavyweight boxing title. Roman Greenberg won the International Boxing Organization’s Intercontinental Heavyweight title last month, defeating Alex Vassilev of Russia in Monte Carlo. Greenberg next may be eligible to fight for a more prestigious crown, such as the IBO World Heavyweight title. “I want to show the world that Jews can fight,” Greenberg said. Israeli security forces arrested a Palestinian Authority Cabinet minister outside Jerusalem. Khaled Abu Arafa, one of the few independents in the new Hamas-led government, was detained Thursday as he tried to cross from Jerusalem to the West Bank. He was later released.
