More charges for alleged Seattle gunman

The gunman accused of killing one and wounding five in an attack at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle is expected to face 11 more charges.King County prosecutors at a hearing Wednesday are expected to add five burglary charges, five counts of malicious harassment and one unlawful-imprisonment charge against Naveed Haq, The Associated Press reported. Haq, 31, already is facing nine criminal charges.Haq is now facing a burglary charge and a malicious harassment charge for each of the victims in the July 28, 2006 attack. Malicious harassment is a hate crime.Pamela Waechter, the federation’s annual campaign director, was killed in the attack. If convicted of her aggravated murder, Haq would face life in prison.Haq will be charged with unlawful imprisonment because he allegedly held Dayna Klein, a surviving victim, as a hostage during the attack.
