Israeli President Shimon Peres will have increased personal security after several death threats.
The Shin Bet security agency will now handle the Israeli president’s security and increase that detail, Yediot Achronot reported Thursday.
Intelligence reports suggest that both right-wing Jewish extremists and Palestinian groups could try to harm Peres.
Peres will be the first Israeli president to have a medic in his security detail, Yediot reported.
