A 19-year-old from Beersheba won “A Star is Born,” Israel’s equivalent of “American Idol.”
Israel Bar-On took 56 percent of the 750,000 votes cast, it was announced Tuesday night at the show’s finale in front of 30,000 people at a music festival on the shores of Lake Kinneret in northern Israel.
Yediot Achronot reports that the shows producers are planning to arrange Bar-On’s enlistment in the army, since he has not yet served.
