Members of Israel’s ruling Kadima Party went to the polls to elect its slate for the upcoming national Knesset elections.
Some 80,000 members are eligible to vote in Wednesday’s primary.
The party is using a new computerized voting system, even though the Labor and Likud parties had difficulties with the system in their primaries earlier this month.The 95 polling stations throughout the country will remain open until midnight.
The top two positions are reserved for Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, the party chief, and Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz.
General Knesset elections are scheduled for Feb. 10.
