Bernie Madoff gets a very small taste of his own medicine

Okay. It’s a very, very small taste in relative terms, but Madoff had a $10,000 poolside statue stolen from his estate in Palm Beach, according to Newsday.

The statue was stolen Dec. 19, a little more than a week after news broke of his $50 billion Ponzi scheme.

Police say that they have no leads regarding the stolen statue.

Something tells me that there is no shortage of suspects in Palm Beach, where Madoff poached for years by luring wealthy residents into his scheme.

Just to put it in perspective: Let’s just say that one Madoff victim is able to recoup $10,000 via the statue, and Madoff did indeed steal $50 billion, that means another 5 million statues would be need to cover his debts.
