LONDON (JTA) – Pro-Israel demonstrators brought the remains of a Kassam rocket to the Iranian embassy in London.
The protesters, who included Iranian dissidents as well as pro-Israel activists, wanted to bring attention to Iran’s involvement in backing Hamas in the current Gaza Strip war through financing and the supply of rockets fired at towns in the south of Israel.
Friday’s protest, organized by the Zionist Federation, included the tail of a Kassam rocket. Some protesters wore Mahmoud Ahmadinejad masks held up the Iranian president’s quotes in speech bubbles: "Israel will be annihilated"; "Anyone who recognizes Israel will burn"; and "Israel will be destroyed."
