JERUSALEM (JTA) — Ehud Olmert’s travel coordinator was indicted on fraud charges in a double-billing affair.

Rachel Risby-Raz is suspected of assisting the former prime minister in the Rishon Tours case, in which Olmerte double billed Jewish institutions and charities for flights booked through the travel agency and used the extra money to fund family vacations.

Thursday’s indictment of Risby-Raz is the first to be filed in the case, though Attorney General Menachem Mazuz has told Olmert that he plans to file charges against him following a hearing in which Olmert has an opportunity to prove his innocence. The Rishon Tours affair is one of several corruption cases for which the former prime minister is currently being investigated.

The indictment also pointed to the assistance of Olmert’s former bureau chief, Shula Zaken.
