(JTA) — An anti-Israel television series first broadcast in Turkey will now be shown in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
"Separation: Palestine In Love and In War," a 13-episode series, depicts Israeli soldiers as killing Palestinians civilians, including babies and the elderly. It is set to begin showing Saturday in Saudi Arabia. No date has been set for the series debut in Dubai.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry summoned Turkey’s acting ambassador when the series aired on state-run television in October.
The incident contributed to tense relations between the two countries, which began during Israel’s Operation Cast Lead in Gaza.
In January, another Turkish television series contributed further to the tense relations when Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon publicly humiliated Turkey’s ambassador.
