An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was felt in Israel, mainly on the coastal plain.
The epicenter of the earthquake, which stuck just moments before noon on Sunday, was located in the Mediterranean Sea, about 44 miles northwest of Tel Aviv and 49 miles west-southwest of Haifa, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The temblor was felt from the lower Galilee to Raanana, and along the coastal plain.
No damage or injuries were reported.
In April, an earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale, centered near Crete, was felt throughout the country.
