WASHINGTON (JTA) — The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum launched a website that will track the war crimes trial of Ratko Mladic in real time.

The trial of Mladic, a Bosnian-Serb commander accused of having orchestrated the biggest massacre in Europe since World War II, is about to begin at the International Criminal Court at The Hague.

In addition to tracking the trial through articles, blog posts and a Twitter feed, "the project will examine related issues such as whether bringing to justice those responsible for mass atrocities may help prevent future ones," the museum said Wednesday in a statement.

Michael Dobbs, a journalist who covered the Yugoslavia wars and is now a fellow on the museum’s Committee on Conscience, will direct the website.
