Film and culture blog Cinema Blend reports that Hawn may also be joined by Jason Bateman,” High School Musical” star Zac Efron, and Leslie Mann to join the cast of "This Is Where I Leave You," a film in development attached to hip filmmaker Adam Shankman. The movie is based on the bestselling 2010 novel by Jonathan Tropper, in which a dysfunctional family is brought together for a week of shiva after their father dies. The Times of Israel added that Hawn would play the widowed matriarch, and that Tropper is set to write the screenplay from his own novel.
