This is too good to be true. The 22-year-old Mindy Meyer of Flatbush, Brooklyn, is running for the New York State Senate on the Republican and Conservative Party slate. The young Orthodox Jew is definitely proud of her lack of corruption. “I can tell you one thing, I have no experience in corruption,” Meyer says. “This is how politics has to change. There is always corruption, but I have the intention to follow my values and ensure that none of what happens in my district is corrupt.”
Oh, and her website is amazing. It looks like it was made by a 15-year old girl who is having MySpace withdrawals. There’s LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” in the background, together with the bejeweled tagline “I’m Senator and I Know It” under her name.
On the homepage there is also an amazing slideshow of Mindy with American things in the background, like the flag and the Capitol. Mindy is running to represent the 21st District, and on her website she claims to be the “first young woman in the history of New York to run for New York State Senate.” And is already endorsed by Brooklyn’s Conservative Party.
