The ice menorah cometh

What has been seen cannot be unseen.

And now, no Hanukkah in Alaska will seem complete without an ice menorah lighting.

The feat was pulled off by Lubavitch Jewish Center of Alaska on the fifth night of Hanukkah.

It’s not the first time this shtick has been employed. In addition to Connecticut and Lawrence, Kan., the fad has made a splash in warm weather climates. Over the last seven years, JTA has spotted ice menorahs inFlorida, Houston and Australia
