JERUSALEM (JTA) — A 4-year-old Israeli was injured in a rock-throwing attack on a car near Hebron by Israeli teenagers targeting Palestinian vehicles.

Two teens from the Kiryat Arba settlement near Hebron were released following an interrogation on Sunday morning after being arrested the previous evening by the Israel Defense Forces in connection with the attack, the Israel Police told Israeli media.

Police reportedly expect to make several arrests in connection with the attack.

The Israeli child, 4, was injured by broken glass from the car’s smashed windows.

The arrested teens, both minors, told soldiers that they intended to throw rocks at Palestinian cars, according to the Times of Israel. They had been demonstrating at a major West Bank thoroughfare, Route 60, against Palestinian attacks on Jews.
