JERUSALEM (JTA) — Two Israeli soldiers and eight Palestinian protesters were injured in clashes Wednesday during the demolition of a terrorist’s home in the West Bank town of Qalandiya.

Palestinian demonstrators threw rocks and firebombs at the soldiers during and after the razing of the family home of Hassin Abu Gush, 17, who stabbed and killed Shlomit Krigman, 23, in an attack at a West Bank supermarket in January, according to the IDF. Krigman was in the Beit Horon settlement to visit her grandparents. Abu Gush and an accomplice were shot dead at the scene by the store’s security guard.

The eight Palestinians injured in the demolition clashes were shot, the Palestinian Maan news agency reported. Other Palestinian reports said they were hit with both rubber bullets and live fire. One of the injured Palestinians was taken into custody by the Israeli troops.

At least 15 residents of Qalandiya have been killed while attacking Israelis or in the aftermath of such attacks, according to Maan.
