Israel today freed ten Lebanese soldiers who had been held as prisoners of war for more than 14 months. An official communique said they were released” upon the request of the Lebanese authorities.” The soldiers crossed the border under Red Cross auspices at the Rosh Hanikra border station. They were captured in an Israel Army raid on Kala village in Lebanon during 1970. The raid followed the kidnapping of an Israeli watchman, Samuel Rosenwasser.
