A group of 100 Jewish refugees from Austria, among them ten children and several pregnant women, were detained today by the Italian authorities when they attempted to cross the frontier illegally.

Jewish spokesmen call the step symptomatic of a change in the attitude of the Italian Government toward clandestine Jewish activities here.
