A drive for $1, 500, 000 for the electrical engineering laboratories of the Technion in Haifa was launched here today at a luncheon at the Hotel Commodore. The drive is part of the $10, 000, 000 goal which the American Technion Society hopes to raise toward the $20, 000, 000 needed to erect a new Technion.
Harry F. Fischbach, a director of the American Technion Society, told the guest at the luncheon that the electrical laboratories will be the first facilities erected on the new campus site on historic Mount Carmel.
