Colonail Secretary George Hall today reported in the House of Commons that 8,507 Jews from the United States and 2,482 Jews from Great Britain entered Palestine during the years 1922-44. No figures are available for 1919 to 1981, he said.
The charge that all Jews were removed from units of the British Sixth Airborne Division before it was sent into Palestine was voiced here last night by Rabbi Abba Bornstein, addressing a mass-meeting arranged by the Mizrachi Federation of Great Britain. He said that these Jewish soldiers are now in Egypt. (A similar report was cabled from Jerusalem last week by a J.T.A. correspondent.)
