A gala evening at the Paris Opera last night ushered in the French Jewish community’s celebration of Israel’s tenth anniversary.
Present at the function were members of the French Cabinet, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Paul Ely, foreign diplomats and notables from all walks of life. Israel Ambassador Joseph Tsur, in an address of greeting, expressed thanks for France’s friendship for his country and for the Jewish people.
