A Japanese “good will” emissary this week visited the West Bank towns of Judea and Samaria to establish what was described as a union of friendship between Japan and the Palestinians. Matzo Fugi, former Economic Minister of Japan, also visited the municipalities of Nablus and Tulkarem. The objective of his visit, according to reports, is to provide financial assistance to the residents in the area by donations to public institutions and volunteer groups.
