A member of Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat’s Force 17 presidential guard was killed and several others wounded by Israeli tank fire. Israel said the army returned fire shortly after mortar shells were fired from the Force 17 position at the settlements of Netzarim and Morag in the Gaza Strip.
