A Nazi collaborator who escaped from prison while serving a life sentence for persecuting and torturing Jews in the Netherlands during World War II died March 26 in Spain at 80. Auke Bert Pattist fled a Dutch prison after his trial in 1948, after serving only six months of his sentence.
