A panel seeking to recover Holocaust-era insurance money racked up 60 percent more bills than claims. Lawrence Eagleburger, chairman of the International Commission on Holocaust-Era Insurance Claims, told the House Committee on Government Reform on Tuesday that the panel spent $56 million and obtained $35 million in insurance payment pledges.
