A record number of Ph.D. and Masters degrees were awarded by the Bar Ilan University, the religious oriented university in Ramat Gan, at a graduation ceremony Tuesday in the presence of Education Minister Zevulun Hammer and Bar Ilan University president Emanuel Rackman. There were 30 Ph.D. awardees, 130 Masters and 1095 Bachelors degrees, including 692 who received their degrees in social sciences. Hammer is himself a graduate of the university.
