A Soviet-Jewish student Alexander Vilig, 21, has had his 18-month sentence for draft evasion reduced by six months, according to information received by the National Conference on Soviet Jewry. Vilig, from Volgogrod, applied to emigrate last year and received his visa and draft notice at the some time.
