Israel Tikochinsky was interviewed in Arabic by Umayma Tamim, wife of Osama al-Baz, a senior aide to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Egyptian media, which often agitate against Israel, had avoided speaking to Tikochinsky as they avoided his predecessors.
