A tax consultant at the center of a New York bribery scandal was a major supporter of many Jewish charities. Albert Schussler, 85, is a past president of the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, a board member of the UJA-Federation of New York and longtime supporter of the New Israel Fund, among other groups, according to The New York Times.
