All 300,000 residents of an upstate New York county, including Jews, may receive a Christmas gift from a coalition of about 20 local churches: a video about Jesus. The Greater Rochester Association of Evangelicals is trying to raise $760,000 to mail the tapes made by the Campus Crusade for Christ, an evangelical group co-founded by the Rev. Billy Graham. Representatives of the Jewish Community Federation of Greater Rochester say that while they see the mailing as “inconsiderate,” they are not planning any organized response.
