Outstanding Americans from varied fields of life will meet here at the Mayflower Hotel Monday, at the American National Conference Against Racial Persecution in Germany. The conference is expected to be one of the most significant protest steps against persecution of the Jews in Germany that has been held in this country since the advent of the Hitler regime to power.
Following the conference, a dinner will be held at which a prominent Jew will be one of the speakers.
Among those who will participate in the conference are: former Ammassador James W. Gerard, Bainbridge Colby, Governor and Mrs. Gifford Pinchot, of Pennsylvania, and William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor. Former Representative Fiorella La Guardia, will open the conference and define its purpose.
