An Israeli woman convicted and sentenced to nine months in prison for knowing about the plot to assassinate Yitzhak Rabin and failing to stop it asked for a presidential pardon. Margalit Har-Shefi’s request came a day after President Moshe Katsav said a person who knows of a plot to kill the prime minister should be sentenced to 90 years in prison, not nine months.
