Several thousand persons massed yesterday in front of the memorial to the Unknown Jewish Martyr here, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. Members of the French Government brought greetings on behalf of France, while survivors of the Ghetto fighting recalled the terrible days of the uprising.

Israel Ambassador Walter Eytan described the ceremonies which took place in Jerusalem and greeted the survivors as well as the directors of the memorial to the Unknown Jewish Martyr. A leading Paris cantor chanted the El Molei Rachamim prayer while thousands in the audience recited the kaddish in the presence of Paris Grand Rabbi Jacob Kaplan.
