A chain letter campaign addressed to “fellow Christians” has been launched here to secure the writing in on the November presidential ballot of the name of Gen. Douglas MacArthur.

The letter describes MacArthur supporters as “Christians united in a sacred cause” and declares that “it is our Christian obligation” to write in MacArthur’s name. It asks recipients to fill out a form pledging themselves to vote for MacArthur and says “your write-in will prove that United Christians can and will regain control of our country.

Initiator of the campaign is John W. Moore of this city who describes himself as “Illinois Coordinator” of the “Fighters for MacArthur” headed by John B, Chapple of Ashland. Wisc. Moore also calls himself a “volunteer worker” for Joseph Kamp, Conde McGinley, Gerald B. Winrod and others.
