The Emir Abdullah of Transjordania has received a delegation of Palestine Arab leaders at his winter residence at Shuneh, near the Jordan river. He is reported to have discussed with them the possibility of naming a deputation of Arab politicians accompanying him to London during his June trip as guest of the British government.
The Mufti of Jerusalem, Sayed Mohammed Amin al Husseini, Aouni Bey Abdul Hadi, Amin Bey Tamimi, Sheikh Abdel Kader al-Muzaffar, and Jamal al Husseini were among those invited to a luncheon party. At another luncheon the Emir met Ragheb Bey Nashashibi, mayor of Jerusalem; Asam Bey Said, mayor of Jaffa; Sheikh Mustapha al-Khairi, mayor of Ramleh, and Suleiman Bey Toukan, mayor of Nablus. He also conversed with Fakhri Nashashibi, cousin of the mayor of Jerusalem and his principal assistant.
