Ariel Sharon held a conciliatory meeting with representatives of Israeli settlers slated for evacuation. The Israeli prime minister received nine leading Gaza Strip settlers in his office Tuesday, the first such meeting since he announced the plan to evacuate the coastal territory and northern West Bank in December 2003.
