Ariel Sharon was named the man who most influences Israel’s economy. The Israeli financial journal The Marker this week put Sharon atop its 2005 list of influential notables, the first such honor for an Israeli prime minister. Sharon credited the Gaza Strip withdrawal, which he initiated, with invigorating Israel’s economy.
