An unofficial conference of delegates from twelve Asian countries meeting in New Delhi closed yesterday with an accusation that the West was exerting pressure “especially through Israel and Turkey, to coerce the Arab countries into joining military blocs,” it was reported here today.
The New Delhi meeting, which was described in dispatches from New Delhi as “Communist dominated,” passed a resolution condemning the “aggressive policy of the ruling circles of Israel” and supporting Arab refugees in “their right to return to Palestine.” The resolution against Israel was one of a number of resolutions hitting at the West in general, and the United States in particular.
