At the sixth All-Ukrainian conference of Jewish workers now in session here, a resolution was adopted urging the dismissal of Prof. Gallant from his post as head of the Hebraic Department of the Ukrainian Academy. The resolution brands him as “the servant of the Jewish bourgeoisie.”
A protest against the action of Jews abroad who sent matzoth to Russian Jews during the past Passover was also adopted.
Under the auspices of the Hillel Foundation recently established here, with Rabbi Isidor B. Hoffman in charge, a restaurant was procured for use of Jewish students during Passover. This was completely renovated. fitted with new equipment, and Kosher meals were famished to more than 100 of the Jewish students at the university.
