A Labor Member of the Australian Parliament asked the New South Wales Premier today to investigate reports that a Nazi party was operating in the state.
M. L. Rigby, the deputy, differed however, with objections of the Australian Jewish Board of Deputies over the showing of a film on Nazi activities on the Australian television network. The deputy said that while he shared the “abhorrence” of the Jewish Board toward “Nazi types,” he also believed that the television network should be “congratulated” for bringing objectionable extremism to public notice.”
