The first candidate for membership in the projected representative legislative council, Sheikh Fark Habumdein, was named today by a conference of Bedouin leaders of Beer Sheba.

Meanwhile, protesting against the proposed council, a meeting of the New Zionist Organization, right wing body, adopted a resolution demanding that High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope resign.

The council, which was proposed by Sir Arthur last December, would have fourteen Arab members, seven Jews and seven Britons.
