Five Christian ministers, including two Bishops, have issued appeals to the Jews of New York to aid the German Relief Campaign of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee which is seeking $1,000,000 in this city for the help of suffering Jews in Germany. The messages, which came form Bishop William T. Manning, Bishop F###M### Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick, Dr. Daniel Poling and Dr. Christian F. Reisner, were made public by Dudley D. Sicher, chairman of the Greater New York Campaign.

The Jews of America are being asked to contribute $2,000,000 in this campaign with New York Jewry raising half of the sum. Rabbi Jonah B. Wise is national chairman of the drive. Associated with him are Felix M. Warburg, honorary chairman, and Paul Baerwald, chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee.

A Brooklyn division has been formed with Judge Lazansky as head and the Long Island campaign is now under way at the Rockaways, under the auspices of the Jewish Council of the Rockaways.
