Boston Jewish Hospital Gets $500,000 Gift; Plans Scholarships

A gift of $500,000 from the estate of the late Jacob Ziskind of Fall River, Mass,, to the Beth Israel Hospital of Boston was announced here this week at a dinner for the institution.

Abram Berkowitz, a trustee of the fund, half of which was left for charitable, educational and religious purposes without naming specific organizations, said that . the other trustee of the fund and the members of Mr. Ziskind’s family unanimously agreed on the gift to the hospital. Interest from the gift will be used for research scholarships for full-time personnel primarily engaged in research.
