Both chambers of the Dutch Parliament today adopted solemn resolutions of condolence over the death of Israel’s President Izhak Ben-Zvi, sending cables expressing their sentiments to the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament. Dr. Joseph Luns, the Foreign Minister, issued a statement saying “the Government of the Netherlands mourns with Israel.” In the Senate, Dr. Jan Jonkman eulogized Mr. Ben-Zvi as “Israel’s courageous second President.”
