The British Ministry of Economic Warfare today announced that it will permit the delivery of a large quantity of Passover food to an Italian port, for trans-shipment to the Jewish communities in Switzerland.
The food, consisting mostly of Kosher meat, is being carried on a Swiss steamer from Havana. The Jewish communities in Switzerland have always depended on Kosher meat from abroad, since ritual slaughter is prohibited there.
