The Jewish Chronicle today editorially appealed to Education Minister Herwald Ramsbotham to return “our English schools to havens of mutual respect by the imparting of accurate knowledge of the Jews and Jewish history.”
Referring to the recently announced Franco-British educational cooperation, the editorial said: “Innoculation of the young against pernicious racial theories and their education in the principles of civic relations and relationships is surely the plain duty of governments today.”
The editorial also appealed to the churches to play a part in the creation of new harmonies.
