Canadian Government Urged by United Zionist Council to Support U.N. Palestine Partition

Prime. Minister Mackenzie King and Minister for External Affairs Louis St. Laurent were urged today by the United Zionist Council of Canada to stand by the United Nations Palestine partition decision.

In a telegram signed by Samuel J. Zacks, president, the Council declared that the United States reversal of partition has “shocked the Jews of Canada. The message pointed out that the partition scheme was not given a chance to demonstrate its workability and efficiency.
