Canadian prison officials agreed to pay $6,500 for laser surgery to remove a swastika tattooed on the stomach of a repentant white supremacist. “We’re pleased that the government is able to help him do this, but, in the long run, we’d be better off spending the money on education,” said Rubin Friedman, a spokesperson for the Canadian Jewish Congress.
