Ester Finkelstein, a married sister of Maxim Litvinoff the Soviet Commissar of Foreign Affairs, was evicted today in Lodz, Poland, where she is residing, for not being able to pay rent, according to a report in the London Daily Express from Warsaw.
Asked in court why she does not appeal to her brother for assistance, the sister of the Soviet Commissar replied: “My brother refuses to recognize us. It is useless to ask him for anything.”
