Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said the Sept. 13 date for declaring a Palestinian state still stands. He made the comment in Jerusalem, where he met with the director general of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Eitan Ben-Tsur, to sign an agreement extending the length of time foreign observers stay in Hebron.
